NC State MPRU

The MRPU has both table stock and ornamental sweet potatoes in its program. Sweetpotatoes are produced by tissue culture to rid them of pathogens and tested for viruses before leaving the MPRU. 

Sweetpotato Pathogen Tests:

  • Potyviruses (SPVG, SPVC, SPFMV and SPV2)
  • Begomoviruses (SPLCV, SPCV (Caulimo-like), and SPVCV)
  • Crinivirus (SPCSV)
